Ordinary to Extraordinary: Beautifying Your Neighborhood Stairway!
Love our city’s beautiful tiled stairways and their landscaping? Want to create one (or more!)?
As part of SF Stairway Month, we invite you to join us at this community learning event where you will hear from people who have played key roles in transforming otherwise ordinary stairways into extraordinary ones by tiling, painting, landscaping, and so much more.
Guests will include Renee Berger (Burnside mural and tiled steps), Joy Durighello (Detroit Steps Project), Subhajeet Seve Ghose (Yerba Buena Gardens Conservancy), and Aileen Barr/Colette Crutcher (tile artists who have designed and created many of SF’s iconic tiled stairways).
This will also be an opportunity to hear about the city’s permitting processes, including the SF Department of Public Work’s new Love Our Neighborhood program.
This will be a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and turn your ideas into reality!
Please register at this link. Registered attendees will be entered for a chance to win a free copy of Urban Trails: San Francisco and Stairway Walks in San Francisco, which we’ll give away at the talk!
