December Bird Walk on Mount Sutro
Join us on Saturday, December 21st to hike 2 miles of trails through the forest and around the summit of Mount Sutro. There will be some uphill climbing and the trails are narrow, unpaved, and can be rocky in places.
Winter birds such as Fox Sparrow and Ruby-crowned Kinglets are abundant this time of year. Mt. Sutro is also a great place to get close views and listening opportunities of some of the San Francisco resident species.
Plan to park and meet at the UCSF Woods Lot at 100 Medical Center Way at 8:30 am. If you need directions or further help, please email wlgrover@gmail.com or pjgreene@sonic.net with questions.
