It’s SF Stairway Month! Join us and our partners at Burnside Mural+ and the Crosstown Trails for a walk through 5 tiled stairways across San Francisco!. We’ll meet at the Tompkins Stairway Garden (200 Putnam Street) in Bernal Heights, then pass through Burnside Steps, Miraloma Steps, 16th Avenue Tiled Steps, and end at the Hidden Garden Steps in the Sunset. 

The walk will feature special guests including District 8 Supervisor Rafael Mandelman, and Aileen Barr and Colette Crutcher, the tile artists responsible for many of these stairways.

The entire walk will be 7 miles long and we plan to go at a leisurely pace. For a shorter, 5-mile walk, you can meet us at our second starting point, Burnside Mural (between #50 and #59 Burnside Ave.), at 10:30 AM. Bring water, snacks, and layers. Restrooms near the meeting points and on the route.
