Tompkins Stairway Garden Volunteer Work Day
Join us for a day of gardening in the beautiful new Tompkins Stairway Garden! We provide work gloves, tools, and compost bags. You help with pruning, trimming, and pulling weeds. Help keep the garden gorgeous!
About The Tompkins Stairway Garden
Once a trash-covered hillside, the Tompkins Stairway Garden is now a beautiful and inviting street park in southeast Bernal Heights. This unique garden project has been designed to flourish year-round with California native and other drought-tolerant plants. Want to learn more and get involved? Check it out for all of the details!
About The SFPA
The SFPA or San Francisco Parks Alliance is a nonprofit organization that has been working with the community for nearly 50 years to help encourage our neighbors to get out and make the most of their public spaces. We focus on collaborating with our fellow San Franciscans and various partners around the Bay Area to champion beautification projects, public space initiatives, and engagement through a variety of free weekly and monthly events.
Gene Suttle Plaza is a part of the City-Wide Public Space Initiative. Click here to learn more about CPSI and some of the other exciting projects that we’re working on!
