Come check out India Basin! As one of our newest parks, we’re so excited to be opening up India Basin to the public every Friday from 3-5 PM. Get ready for games, live music and more as we welcome new folks into this space and start brainstorming community-led projects for further developing this area.

About India Basin

India Basin is a small part of a huge project called the Blue Greenway. Upon completion, the endeavor will transform 13 miles of land into a beautifully designed, community-focused park, complete with a public market, plenty of green space and a trail that spans the entire waterfront. India Basin is only a portion of this project, but as one of the first spaces that the public is able to see and visit, we hope that it will serve as a starting point for community-championed design aspects. We want to make sure that you have a say in what goes into your public spaces, so head on over to India Basin this Friday or get in touch with us through our Survey!

About The SFPA

The SFPA or San Francisco Parks Alliance is a nonprofit organization that has been working with the community for nearly 50 years to help encourage our neighbors to get out and make the most of their public spaces. We focus on collaborating with our fellow San Franciscans and various partners around the Bay Area to champion beautification projects, public space initiatives, and engagement through a variety of free weekly and monthly events.

Gene Suttle Plaza is a part of the City-Wide Public Space Initiative. Click here to learn more about CPSI and some of the other exciting projects that we’re working on!
