Sundown Cinema returns to San Francisco parks this summer — even bigger and better than before!

From May through October, we’re bringing eight iconic films to eight parks across the City, and we hope to see you there! Join us on Friday, September 9, at Alamo Square Park for a screening of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark accompanied by special performances.

Doors open at 5:30PM, and the movie will start around sundown. Come early to enjoy local eats and pre-show festivities including a visit with scaly creatures from Tree Frog Treks…because of course, it had to be snakes.

Each year, Sundown Cinema celebrates the unique character and beauty of San Francisco’s parks and neighborhoods, and helps sustain these community spaces by donating a portion of proceeds to SF Parks Alliance. The entire series is free and open to the public, but guests are encouraged to RSVP to win reserved seating, or become an SF Parks Alliance member to reserve a seat.

This is a fully accessible event- we’ll be providing a shuttle service throughout the evening that will pickup at the corner of Hayes & Steiner to shuttle attendees to a wheelchair accessible ramp and viewing platform for the film. Companion seating is also available upon request at the viewing platform. Please email events@sfparksalliance.org for any accessibility questions. Please submit accessibility requests 72 hours or more in advance of the show to ensure availability. The shuttle will be able to accommodate a width of 40 inches and a height of 60 inches for transport.

Sundown Cinema is produced by SF Parks Alliance and DoTheBay, in partnership with the SF Recreation & Park Department. Special thanks to the City of San Francisco, REI, Amazon, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Xfinity, and Alaska Airlines for their support in making this year’s series possible!
