This park might has some of the most underrated views in San Francisco! There’s so many winding paths, stairways and vantage points to choose from when exploring Buena Vista – just remember to bring water and good walking shoes, as it’s a short but steep hike to reach the top. – Rachel Kovinsky
Between 1914 and the 1940s, San Francisco ordered the removal of nearly all cemeteries within city limits. While many of the headstones and monuments were moved to the nearby city of Colma, unclaimed headstones were repurposed for municipal projects like building park gutters, some of which you can still see at the park.
