Heron’s Head Park

Though Heron’s Head park is within San Francisco city limits, this remote wetland park couldn’t feel further from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

The sprawling 22 acre park includes numerous trails for hiking, which is also the best way to view the emerging shoreline bird habitat. The cherry on top is the Nature Exploration Area and Eco Center, which is a great way for both big and small adventurers to learn more about the natural habitat of the Southeast waterfront.
