Joe DiMaggio Playground and North Beach Pool are two stunning community spaces in the North Beach neighborhood.
The playground underwent extensive renovations in 2015 to update the children’s play area, refresh tennis and bocce ball courts, increase park seating and safety, and make the space ADA accessible, so much of the park and the adjoining clubhouse and library look brand new. Even the once tiny clubhouse has been transformed into a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose community building.
Two of the three tennis courts don’t allow reservations, so you always have a good chance of getting a game in. Just be prepared to wait a few minutes. – Jake
