If you’re looking for an activity that is a bit more strenuous than racquetball, but still allows you to take to the court in a competitive fashion, then handball might be the new sport for you!
The handball courts can be found north of the Big Rec baseball fields in Golden Gate Park. Since the courts are open every day, reservations are not necessary. If the courts are available, all you have to do is bring your own equipment and head over to Middle Drive East, situated between MLK Jr. and Bowling Green drives.
The Friends of Golden Gate Park Handball Club hold various maintenance days and serve as advocates for the continued enjoyment of handball in Golden Gate Park and beyond!
