Friends of Potrero Hill Recreation Center
The Friends of Oak Woodlands contribute to the biodiversity and beauty of San Francisco’s flagship park by promoting habitat for native plants and wildlife.
A group of Potrero Hill residents came together to create the Friends of Potrero Hill Recreation Center. The group is comprised of community members working to make the neighborhood’s recreation center even better.
As many residents know, the recreation center was re-landscaped in 2011. The recreation center has improved the tot playground, the dog run and the playing field, but there is still much to do. Fortunately, the center is now enjoying increased usage and a diversity of visitors.
Friends of Potrero Hill Recreation Center are currently looking for friends/stewards. They need residents to serve on a variety of committees, such as landscaping and programming. They plan on having an initial meet and greet with interested folks. They are in the beginning stages of creating the group and are looking for members, so be sure to email them at friendsphillrc@gmail.com for more info!
