Octavia Project Alliance

The Octavia Project Alliance mission is to inspire and empower future San Franciscans to realize that, through civic engagement of the freeway removal in the Market / Octavia area, you can change the city for the better.

Part of San Francisco’s Central Freeway was demolished and reopened as what is now Octavia Boulevard in 2005. The Octavia Project Alliance aims to tell the story of this already fading history and educate San Franciscans on the impact the change has had on the neighborhood.
