Tennis Coalition SF

The Tennis Coalition is a tennis advocacy group that champions public tennis in San Francisco by connecting, energizing, and advocating for the local tennis playing community.

They believe that tennis: should be accessible to everyone; can help young people become confident, skilled and resilient adults; and creates strong and lasting communities which support both physical and mental wellness.

In partnership with SF Rec & Park and the San Francisco Parks Alliance, the Tennis Coalition successfully raised $27 million to build a state-of-the-art public tennis center that is accessible and affordable to all. The group is thrilled that the completed Lisa + Douglas Goldman Tennis Center opened to the public in March of 2021.

At the Lisa + Douglas Goldman Tennis Center (GTC), the group is currently focused on three major areas:

Successfully launching the GTC as the hub of public tennis in San Francisco Spotlighting youth tennis at the GTC Stewarding and protecting public tennis in San Francisco
