Phil Arnold Trail (Oak Woodlands)
Formerly named for the remnant Oak Woodlands forest, the newly renovated trail in Golden Gate Park was dedicated in honor of Phil Arnold, a longtime advocate for parks, open space and trail opportunities in the greater Bay Area.
The trail welcomes pedestrians and bicyclists that begins at JFK Drive just west of McLaren Lodge and continues past knolls, horseshoe courts, and ends at 6th Avenue. The trail also connects Golden Gate Park to the Bay Area Ridge Trail from Twin Peaks and Mount Sutro.
