Do you love nature? Join the Friends of Glen Canyon Park and the Natural Resource Division for their monthly volunteer project  from 9:30am-12pm. Learn from their naturalists about the ecology of the canyon while helping to preserve its diverse habitats.

They will be restoring portions of Islais Creek, riparian, scrub and grassland communities. Anyone 12 years and older is invited to join.

Wear close-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for physical work. Tools and gloves will be provided. The group will meet at the end of Alms Road, 1500 feet (approx. 5-minute walk) north of the Glen Canyon Recreation Center.

For help in locating the project, the recreation center is at 70 Elk Street.
