Hoichi Kurisu, an acclaimed Japanese garden designer, has been engaged to reimagine and develop the area surrounding the pagoda in Golden Gate Park.

On Monday, June 27, he’ll share his concept design, which aims to bring the pagoda landscape into harmony with the rest of the garden, allow for more access, and highlight the beautiful views.

Kurisu’s fifty years of designing Japanese gardens around the world, along with his work with the Portland Japanese Garden, brings masterful expertise to this project.

This meeting is free and open to all.
