The first Thai New Year Block Party in the Tenderloin featured traditional Thai food, performances, neighborhood games and more, and came to life through the efforts of local businesses, the Tenderloin Community Benefit District and Sunday Streets. Sunday Streets’ mission to create temporary open space and recreational opportunities aligned with the neighborhood’s desire to host their first Thai New Year event to highlight the diversity and vibrancy of Thai culture to the general public outdoors.
