At SF Parks Alliance we fiscally sponsor 80+ community groups across the city, these are groups of neighbors like you who volunteer their time to steward parks and public spaces in their neighborhoods.
This past August, we opened an application for any interested groups to apply to become one of our Partners and now, we’re pleased to welcome the following four groups as the newest members of our Community Partner Network!
Through fiscal sponsorship, we’ll be supporting these groups by using our nonprofit status to allow them to accept tax deductible donations, apply for grants, and access insurance coverage. We also provide our Community Partners with technical support for grant applications, tricky permitting processes, and more.

ACED (Arts, Celebrate, Elevate, Downtown)
ACED is a group of private, public, neighborhood, and arts organizations who together form ACED: Arts, Celebrate, Elevate, Downtown. ACED works to bring inspiring and expansive public art experiences to downtown San Francisco by championing local artists and drawing in residents, commuters, and tourists alike. Their work currently is focused on two projects—a mural in the Financial District and a street/arts fair in Jackson Square.
Connecting San Francisco from the southeast to the northwest, the Crosstown Trail is a 17-mile trail that extends diagonally across San Francisco from Candlestick Park/Hunter’s Point to Lands End. The Crosstown Trail runs through hidden trails, public parks, shopping corridors, tiled stairways, and community gardens. Started in 2012 and actualized in 2018, the Crosstown Trail is led by a coalition of volunteers who aim to realize the dream of the SF Green Connections Plan. They have since been recognized by the city and have inspired crosstown trails in other cities. This group hosts occasional guided walking tours including their annual Crosstober events.
Comerford Street is a one-block long roadway between the 1400 block of Sanchez Street (Slow Sanchez Street) & the 1500 block of Church Street. Comerford Greenway‘s mission is to beautify this alley, build neighborhood pride, and make it inviting to pedestrians by cleaning it up, planting native plants/removing concrete, installing lighting, and adding murals. The group currently hosts weekly social gatherings and annual block parties!
SF Porchfest hosts events that reflect the creativity and diversity of San Francisco through afternoons of music on the porches, backyards, and stoops of the Mission District. The event series was started in 2015 and since then has had events featuring over 150 bands at over 55 venues.
