Interested in planting a vegetable garden but not sure what to plant or where to start? In this online workshop, you will learn about the basics of getting your garden up and running, as well as ideal planting times for each crop. We will mostly focus on varieties and timing for the San Francisco Bay Area climate, but information can be expanded to cover additional regions.

Planting techniques, soil amending, and basic irrigation needs will also be discussed. There will be a short video presentation, live discussion by the instructor, Jason Mark, as well as time for questions and answers.

Suggested Donation: $10; but no one turned away for lack of funds. Our workshops are donation-based and support the growing and distribution of free produce at Alemany Farm. Please give at the suggested level or higher if it is available to you.
