Join us on Wednesday, October 16th from 12:00 – 1:00 PM for Wellness Wednesdays featuring Tai Chi!

All ages and levels of experience are welcome to head out to Gene Suttle Plaza for some relaxing and engaging Tai Chi classes, brought to you by the SFPA and Buchanan YMCA.

About Wellness Wednesdays

Wellness Wednesdays is a new series led by Buchanan YMCA! Every week, an instructor will be available to help lead Tai Chai enthusiasts and beginners through a calming and stimulating hour of Tai Chi exercises. Tai Chi is a graceful form of exercise that is rooted in Chinese tradition. This practice helps to improve mood, reduce stress, and cultivate a better sense of balance & flexibility. Want more events like this? Let us know! We’re always open to feedback from the community and would love to hear what YOU want to see more from in your public spaces!

About The SFPA

The SFPA or San Francisco Parks Alliance is a nonprofit organization that has been working with the community for nearly 50 years to help encourage our neighbors to get out and make the most of their public spaces. We focus on collaborating with our fellow San Franciscans and various partners around the Bay Area to champion beautification projects, public space initiatives, and engagement through a variety of free weekly and monthly events.

Gene Suttle Plaza is a part of the City-Wide Public Space Initiative. Click here to learn more about CPSI and some of the other exciting projects that we’re working on!
