The Geneva Community Garden is a community-driven project by residents in District 11 of San Francisco to create a community garden in a vacant lot located at Geneva Avenue and Delano Avenue, right next to Balboa Park BART Station. The property is owned by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, and the garden was funded through the 2008 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond Community Opportunity Fund and additional funds from Supervisor Avalos.
Geneva Community Garden is part of the larger Community Gardens Program, through the Recreation and Park Department.
What SF Parks Alliance Loves
This garden helps neighborhood children learn how food is grown and not just bought in a package from the grocery store… we love them!
